One morning in late August, while most of the other 6 year olds in town were attending their first day of 1st grade, my boy was enjoying his first day as an official homeschooler.
Back in July, I submitted the letter of intent to our local school district and a few weeks later I got a reply that I was set to go.
We started working on LA lessons as soon as we got the books back in the end of July, but 08/28 was the first day we did a full day of lessons.
Hayzel did Language Arts, Math, Writing, and Spanish on his first day!

I can’t find one! I know I have one somewhere, but its probably in the hard drive of my old pc. Will have to do some investigative work. In the meantime here are some pictures of a day relatively close to the first day of school.
