We got there a bit early and they still hadn’t opened the gate for the animals to run around, so while we waited for that we went to a baby cow named Cameron.
Hayzel got to feed the chickens their cornmeal.
And Brendan helped too.
On our last trip we had a baby goat follow us around the farm all day. We named him Charlie. Nobody remembers what Charlie looks like, but we got to feed this little one a bottle and he became the new Charlie.
He didn’t want to go back to his pen, so he “convinced” the farm worker to let him loose.
Free at last!
And he followed us everywhere we went!
He was very friendly, but he doesn’t let anyone get between him and his food. Even if it means knocking some of us down to get to it.
We even had a few of his friends join us.
Other animals in the farm included another calf named Bella.
Some bunnies.
Brand new baby goats (kids), who still get most of their food from mama.
But who don't oppose to food from another source.
Hayzel played some tag with some sheep.
Papa, Mama, and baby pigs.
We visited the Alpacas.
Hayze ran over to say hi to the horses and mama cows.
Then we spent some time with the baby chicks.
He tried really hard to catch on his own, but he was getting pretty frustrated.
So everyone was nice enough to let him hold the ones they were able to catch.
But its not the same as catching one of your own. This kid was on a mission.
SUCCESS!!
We stayed at the farm for about 2 hours. That’s all I could handle on a 90 degree day.
Pretty soon it was time to say goodbye to our friends.
We had an amazing time and hope to go back soon!
