It was very late notice and we only had about 2 weeks to prepare. On February 16th we started our 18-hour car ride. After a pit stop at Nano’s (Sr.’s dad) house in Connecticut we continued on to Atlanta, arriving the next day at 2pm. Hayzel behaved like a seasoned traveler and only asked, “Are we there yet?'” 587 million times.
Seriously, he was amazing and very well behaved.
We stayed at the Georgian Terrace Hotel for the first 2 weeks of our stay. After settling down and making ourselves at home:
we went exploring.
We took a trip on the MARTA (Atlanta’s transportation system):
Visited Centennial Park home of the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Went to CNN World Headquarters:
Took a GPS walk around downtown:
And found the local bowling alley:
Here is a view from the 14th floor of the Georgian Terrace.
We are enjoying our time here in Atlanta, but we miss our friends and family back home and can’t wait to get back!
