On Thursday we went to swim class. The old swim teacher Joel took a job closer to home, so the kids have a new teacher named Alex. She’s very pretty and the boys love showing off for her.
On Friday we went to Olivia’s “library” (Haverhill Public) for story time and a craft. The kids listened to some stories about space and then created a space mobile.
On Saturday night, we finally put up our Christmas tree. Last year, Hayzel was perfectly happy letting me do all the work. But this year, he was really involved and decided he wanted to decorate. So with a little assistance from me and dad, he decorated our tree.
(more pics on our tree on a later post)
A few weeks ago we bought some fleece to make our baby cousin Alexa a blanket for Christmas. I found this really neat “no-sew” pattern on YouTube and we decided to have all the kids help in making the blanket. So on Sunday afternoon while the daddies watched football we got to “sewing”.
It came out so well, that we decided to make one for our neighbor, Cheryl. (more on that one in a different post). The kids have each requested a blanket of their own, so this activity was a hit. Some time this week we will take a trip to the post office to send this off to Lexi.
Finally after such hard work, we had to treat ourselves. So we made “puppy cupcakes”, an idea stolen off Activity TV.
That’s it for now,
May
